International Women’s day celebrations

In order to raise an awareness about the status and dignity of women among students, an International Women’s day celebrations was held  on 8th March 2023 at Sims College of pharmacy on theme “Innovation and technology for gender equality” which recognizes and celebrates the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. The observance will explore the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic and social inequalities, and it will also spotlight the importance of protecting the rights of women and girls in digital spaces and addressing online and ICT-facilitated gender-based violence. As a part of celebrations many activities had been conducted such as elocution,essay writing,rangoli,ramp walk and games like kho-kho,kabbadi,throwball,carroms In which students have participated actively, Generally, International(IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.
